Breast Cancer Ribbon 2013 Patriot Pink Out – Kickin’ it for the Cure Breast Cancer Ribbon

Pinkout 2013 Varsity and JV Teams
The Fifth Annual Patriot Pink Out was held October 19, 2013 to raise money for cancer awareness and research. This year we raised $7,116.00! All proceeds from admission tickets, concessions sales, the sale of Pink Out t-shirts, Illuminate Hope candle bags, and collected donations will be given to the American Cancer Society. Both the varsity and JV teams wore pink uniforms in their games for the occasion.

FCI Metal Cutting and OneMain Financial are official sponsors of the 2013 Patriot Pink Out.

The Wilcox Family (Brian, Kristen, Madison, & Tucker) have made a large donation to the Patriot Pink Out to help support a cure for cancer. The Wilcox’s have been part of the BP soccer family for many years and they want to acknowledge the 2011 State Championship team and what they accomplished both on and off the field. Tucker also recently donated his hair to Locks of Love. His hair was used to make a wig for an individual currently battling cancer. Thank you Tucker for your selfless act of kindness - you have made a difference!

Ian Schwartz, Mairead Marsden, Sophia Rogers and Sydney Rogers made bracelets for the Pink Out, donating the $149 in sales to the American Cancer Society.

Extra attention was brought by Abby Wambach, the greatest goal scorer in women’s international soccer, who tweeted about the Patriot Pink Out. Abby had over 271,000 followers on Twitter at that point.

We also shared our success on the Soccer.com Facebook page as part of their cancer awareness campaign.
